@Freddyt What a beauty and peaceful place!!

It sure is. If you ever have an opportunity drive the Banff Jasper highway in the summer. Its also hard to believe that from my place, in the middle of the bald a** prairie its only 4 hours till you are surrounded by mountains.

Here is another one. This is in Canmore Alberta, just outside Banff National Park. The course bills itself as "golf on the roof of the world." This hole faces a mountain called The Three Sisters.

A year in review. We traveled all over Michigan this past year. Nothing else to do. That's the famous Mackinac Bridge. It was so foggy that weekend it's hard to believe it's 5 miles long in that picture. Michigan really is beautiful and we definitely have all 4 seasons.

I had some family up there living and working. I became interested in the area, it’s vey beautiful. I watched several documentaries. The history is very interesting also. Thanks, the pictures are nice.

A rare sight... Mt Edith Cavell (not covered in clouds) . The mountain is named after a British hero, a WW1 nurse who was executed by the Germans for treason for helping POW's escape. She was famous for caring for soldiers of any nation without bias.

The clouds in this last one had a rainbow quality you can’t see without the polarized sunglasses. Cool but not cold. Really nice.

Not hard to tell I have PTSD Mach123, first thing I thought was "I could go for a walk there, its not too peopley."

Anyway, from the Banff Jasper highway. Coming from the north its the first glimpse of the corner of the Columbia ice fields.
