LOL... The year I decided to be Alice (in Wonderland) I’d just shaved my head. And whilst that’s perfect for a wig? I considered it as the perfect time to start going blonde, again. In 4 or 5 years? My hair... would be perfect!!!

That was, quite seriously, the entire reason I went blonde (again). For a Halloween costume. In 4-5 years.

77 days until Halloween (cough* not that I've been counting or anything)

I'm still trying to figure out who I'm supposed to beg to get that night off, because I AM doing halloween this year (I didn't get to last year)

I think next year I'm going to find a fat, round pumpkin and carve a cemetery scene around the whole thing.

No contact candy delivery system is occupying my brain.

So far I’ve come up with LED or mouth glow stick lit balloons, tied to candy, on some sort of fishing pole or repurposed laundry line pulley system. The second one sounds more practical.

Snort. Which tells you something about my brain. We get to simple eventually. But there’s usually a zip-line or two in the beginning.

In my old house I could have just taped candy to the fence, in something of a modern foil wrapped gingerbread house motif (complete with greedy kids in ovens? Maaaaaaaybe. It’s Halloween, after all. Grimm is on point). As there’s no fence where I’m at now? We’re at the zip-line phase of think-think-think

I wonder if a line at all is actually necessary? If it’s not particularly windy, I could have a whole yard filled with glowing balloons, anchored by candy. Hmmmm.

My neighbor built this last year with pvc pipe, lights etc, candy goes in at the top, kids held the bag at the mouth of the skeleton head and the candy slid out

is it weird that this feels like a totally reasonable way to socially distance while ensuring that the walking petrie dishes still get their candy? I especially like that velocity is a consideration... because it'll blow the covid off... just sayin
