Confident
Hi,

My dreams are as follows.

I am tryng to save my mother and/ or my father. Fighting agains so called friends and aliens.

All the while there is a constand flooding in the scenes of my dreams.

I recall them vivedly and in detail.

What does it all mean?

Looking forward to the feedback.

Thank you.

what are you trying to save your parents from in these dreams?

the constant flooding make me think of futile efforts.

For me, it would be obvious.

But I’ve lived through floods, worked both floods & sinking watercraft, and been drowned several times in mixed circumstance. Adding people I love to that equation is a simple complication; whether as a metaphor, fear, or mix of fiction & reality.

What do YOU think it means, in your life?

Hi,

Yes thank you for this. It all makes sense now how I tried to save my father marriages and how I tried to save my mother from killing herself and/or OD-ing.

All efforts were in the end indeed futile.

Thank you for this feedback.

Means a lot

I’ve read that floods represent emotional overwhelm and repressed feelings.
This is also very usefull in context with other people in my dreams.

Thank you for this.

Means a lot to me.

That all my life has been about trying to keep my head above water. Trying to save family. And of course putting my feelings last in line. Now with EMDR last week it felt as my whole body was sad, crying and screaming.

My T explained that the body keeps score and that I just have to hang in there and go through the (e)-motions.

Thanks for the feedback everybody.

Helps a huge deal in getting insight and Light in the jungle I am now chartering.

EMDR throws more wicked curve balls than any baseball pitcher ever. Those curveballs can show up on a Thursday night at 10pm, a week before you see your T next. Hanging in without getting in trouble until you get to see your T is huge. If you haven't already find the Article section of the site and read the Stress Cup article. Learning to deal with stress will really help in those hours until you can see your T. It's also why working on your EMDR box is very important. It's really hard to keep stuff in there sometimes and the stronger you make it the easier it is to cope with whatever EMDR throws at you.

As for the dream, work on it with your T. When I found the key to mine I wouldn't have wanted to be anywhere but on my T's couch. It can unlock a lot of stuff you need help dealing with.
