someone i dont know sent me death threats last night I want to believe that it is just some transphobic troll but I'm so f*cking scared I don't want to leave my apartment anymore I don't want to go outside I'm so f*cking scared

What makes you think it might be a transphobic troll? Did the threats come via the internet or physically to your home via a note or letter?

I've talked to some friends about it and they kind of thought it was just a troll because it came online but it was through a private Snapchat that I don't give out to random people so It was horrifying that they were threatening to kill and sexually assault me because I was trans and I live in a rural area so there are a lot of closeminded people around me and I'm out of the closet it's always the thought I have in the back of my mind that ill get hate-crimed but it just scary

Death threats & threats of sexual assault are illegal… so it’s worth taking to the police. Maybe the troll was an idiot & didn’t use a VPN, much less anything more advanced, or maybe they’re 12. Either way? If it’s in police hands they’ll either sort it now, or solve your murder.

1. Buy a shotgun. They’re about $300, and my life is worth waaaay more than that. Full stop. 99/100 the sound of it racking ALONE is enough to send most people running. I have never, in my life, actually had to shoot someone with my little mossberg. But I’ve racked it, in hearing of IDFK how many people, during my being stalked years. And listened to people run hell bent for leather. (My ‘being stalked’ years included my home being broken into 2-3 times a week for a couple years, and I took exception to that).

2. Buy BEAR mace. It’s a zillion times stronger than people mace, shoots 20 feet, and incapacitates most people (and kills asthmatics more often than not). I bought my shotgun because a) my son has asthma & b) I live in the city, so even if I missed? The round -from a pistol or rifle- wouldn’t kill one of my neighbors.) And it’s (bear mace) also legal in all the states that have criminalized people-mace.

3. live your badass life. As you choose. On your own terms.

I don't know what to say other than here with you. And I'm sorry you have to deal with such evil hatred.
If you do feel like you want to report to the police,I hope that gives you some comfort.

And I also hope the person is a troll on the internet who is far far away from you.
