It's only the second session and its been mentioned both times. I don't want to point it out but I'm not sure what to do.

Thank you! I'm still looking for someone. Do I have to let them know that I am?Mine has only done one recording of a relaxation exercise available only on his passworded area of the website. The other recording there are other mediations or learning tools. As to listening to podcasts by your therapist, just answer next time. You could say, maybe down the road I will but for now thank you for letting me know they are there.
initially for me, I did not access the client area of his website for a long time but now use it regularly. I have a connection to him now so when I do listen to his recording I am peaceful about it.
listening to podcasts takes curiosity, so if you don’t care much for that type of learning say so.
as to is is normal, hmm I’d say neutral. Sometimes we just need to say something rather than nothing and not worry too much about their agenda. Sometimes what ever is coming up in therapy for you has been addressed in a podcast and the therapist offers it as it is an additional support outside of therapy. We are often a muddled in therapy so podcasts can give space to reinforcing what is being addressed or taught. I’m not a podcast person but my daughter loves them. So in that respect figure out what you like or don’t like in learning style so you are comfortable with the offer that keeps coming up.
Umm. I just say okay?Yeah, it's honestly a little weird.
You don't really have to do anything. How are you reacting when they bring it up?
Okay. I'll keep that in mind. Thank you!I think it's a little weird, but it's because most of the podcasts I'm familiar with include advertisements to make money. I do think that it could be really helpful to be able to listen to your therapist explain concepts on your own time instead of trying to squeeze it into your sessions, when you might not be as capable of retaining the information.
If he starts suggesting you leave a review unprompted, that'd be a red flag, but I think I'd keep an open mind for now if I was in your shoes.
