Our Pets

Was noticing how Pup’s whiskies aren’t randomly placed (like how I would draw them) but in a neat grid. Don’t know if the same is true for cats or other dogs?
It’s a trick with drawing/painting whiskers… dot the follicle, in a line… erase the whisker. Drawing the whisker, itself, is more of a stick-man kind of thing. >^..^< Recognizable, but unrealistic.

@Friday drawing seems like magic to me. When you say “erase the whisker” you mean instead of drawing it, you literally erase the pencil forming the muzzle and it’s an illusion of whisker? (Hard to write that out, but am not sure I understand.)

Yep. Literally take an eraser and swipe off any shading, at the very very end. 99% of that is invisible. But people’s eyes/brains still “see” it. Like the difference of someone hanging upside down, versus jumping/falling. Even though the “big” things (like hair being up instead of down) are the same? They’re wildly different. A zillion subtle things we see whilst not seeing.

I love seeing folks pictures of their furred friends.

I haven't got any pets anymore. We had the neighbours from hell who let their dogs kill our chickens. It really wasn't worth the energy to report them to the RSPCA and the police. But that's done now. I got triggered and should have just moved out. Anyway. And we lost the Blue girl at the beginning of the year, which was so sad.

But I am very lucky to have animals coming by. Yesterday there was a bearded inland dragon, a pee wee, butterflies, brush turkeys who go at the speed of light, two bush turkeys chicks, and a wallaby. All came by when I was sitting at my desk.
