Thanks Anthony!

Should I change my picture since there's so much commotion over it? Lol.
I was just stating your picture caught my attention (being more daring than I would be); I think it is fine.

I didn't notice the piercing until you pointed it out as being why the photo was taken - I'm still trying to stomach my son getting a piercing!!! Now I see your piercing as well I realise how old (and possibly old fashioned) I am

. When I was growing up having your ears pierced twice was to be considered as being a sl*t according to my mum...

Haha no worries! And I know exactly what you mean. My grandmother says she doesn't believe in piercings! She told me about the old fashioned "stereotypes". I have this weird thing that when I'm really getting down in the dumps or something, I go get a new piercing (limited to ears, nose, belly button, and tongue LOL), or have my hair chopped off! Do something new and different and it makes me feel better for some reason. Totally on a whim! And the ring I had in in this picture is hard to notice because it was almost clear plastic!
And I always make weird and unusual faces in pictures because I am weird and unusual!

Hee- sorry to butt in to your thread. The only thing I can ever feel on tongue piercings is ouch- my step daughter has one and it makes my toes curl thinking it just had to have hurt? But I'm a wuss, plus extremely old. I WAS going to 'like' Nicolette's post, then saw she'd described herself as 'old', so thought it unwise. :) Your pic made me laugh because it's exactly the thing my eldest son always, always does in photos. He's 31 and still does it. We'll be taking a family photo, he'll pull one at the last second and we have to do it all over again but it's so funny you can't get mad at him. I know you're here because of traumas so off topic, but had to click on this because you reminded me of him- just prettier.

I hope it's not too late to say welcome to the forum. :)

I agree with Murphy!!! I seriously used to have nightmares about getting my tongue pierced. Piercings just freaked me out so bad and I guess the only way to overcome that was to go get some! And my tongue did not hurt as bad as the others!

Hee- I can just SEE my children's faces were I to show up with one! I'm old enough for them to hold a meeting and have me locked up. Funny though, about it not hurting. When I bite my tongue, it's horrible- hurts so much and you can't even swear properly. When I had my ears pierced, you still had them done at the doctor's, isn't that a foreign thought? I remember doing my second hole myself as a young adult and BOY did it hurt! The other one which must suck is the belly ring- I went with my step daughter when she got hers done only because she begged me. I'd rather eat a live chicken than watch that again. :) It's like surgery with NO pain killers!
