2 cptsd people

The world doesn't understand us for the most part. I've never found anyone that actually gets me. Most girls love bomb me, make me fall for them, and start the inevitable string of lies. Hyper-vigilance is only a curse if your around the wrong people. The problem is who are the right people? Has anyone just got together that have cptsd? I'm tired of being isolated. Can't trust anyone. Maybe finding a girl with the same condition would be the best thing? Or the worst thing?

Have you had therapy?

Maybe looking at your patterns of why you go for the same type of person? And learning how to notice red and green flags when developing relationships?

It is possible to find good people and have healthy relationships. But it means changing something and recognising things within yourself.

I’ve been thinking about this a lot. I’ve had ptsd for a long time and I think Cptsd because now after more trauma I’ve experienced they interlock w each other and tear me down together at once. Not sure if that’s Cptsd

But my boyfriend and I both def have ptsd and before we got together I went in a couple dates with others and a lot of online dating searches.

I personally found, non ptsd or less complicated - people were fine to get a long with but those with a history of severe trauma understood me easier which helped me relax more and I feel more loved when I can relax.

However! My ex who was cheating on me also had ptsd but … lacked the commitment and devotion.

So really what makes a relationship work are the people.

I’m glad you realized people were love bombing you. I’ve had that a lot!

It’s exhausting.

I hope you find someone that’s good to you

Hello @willus welcome to the site. Do you honestly feel that your healthy enough to be in a serious/romantic relationship? Why don't you just try to make friends with people?
I am fine. I'm healthy. Ots the people around me that make me like this. I don't have issues till someone else makes those issues for me.

And just to add 1 more thing. I have cptsd. There isn't anything wrong with me. Because I'm hyper-vigilant and pick up on things nearly everyone else misses, doesn't make me wrong or injured or unhealthy. I thrive when I'm near people I know I can trust. I've had issues with girls my whole life. Somehow I pick the wrong one everytime. I fall in love, I open up and I guess that changes girls.

Cheaters....I have a hard time with this. I get devoted. I guess I'm looking for and wanting loved so hard I get blinders on. I just want that 1 person. Just 1. Maybe someday.

Don't you think it's unfair and alot of pressure on that 1 person to fulfill all of your needs?
No, why would it be? Why is it pressure on someone to love a person well? Why is it so hard to have understanding and commitment? Why would it be so hard to love the person your with fully? To take them into consideration? Isn't that just love to begin with? Like who wouldn't want someone like that? I'm like that. I just want that returned and that's not wrong.

I have had therapy. I have read so much trying to understand the way I am. Therapy for me just brings to the forefront so many bad memories that it takes me time to get back out of that state of mind. I went for years, it turns into me being really depressed and isolated. I may be broken, but I'm not bad. My mind works differently from other people. I see things others don't, I can't tell anyone I see thru there bullcrap or it turns into more drama I don't want to deal with. I don't know what to do other than just isolate. People don't understand me. I think maybe, being around other cptsd people I could at least be understood.

Sometimes the red flags get ignored. Most of the time. But if I don't ignore them, I have to be alone.
