My advice is sleep. It is natures way of allowing your body to heal. It sounds straight forward to have teeth removed but it is an invasive procedure and has a traumatic effect on the body. Take painkillers if you needed, nothing is gained in trying to be brave. If your cold pack doesn't work try a pack of frozen peas or corn, something small which will mould to you face. I find heat helps as well.
My teeth were damaged in my car crash last year. The damage mainly involves 3 molars on the right side. Top and bottom. I've had 3 teeth removed and I'm in the process of having one crown and two implants. There is not enough bone for the implant at the top so I had a sinus lift to build up bone. This round my dentist is working on the lower teeth. By May 4th I will have the bottom completed. Then if the bone has grown he will start on the top Implant.
Pamper yourself, eat soft comfort food when you can. Plenty of rest, feet up and watch trashy TV.
