I'm grateful for the past knowledge and years I have soaked up working in and outside to understand about medical offices, drs, insurance companies, and patient rights. I'm grate for the times the "slot machine" in my brain lines up the 7s and I am able to BE my advocate not allowing a professional to run rough shod over me because he has an issue with a mental illness stigma, therefore under the impression I am less of a human unable to care for myself. I do read the fine print, I do understand my HIPAA privacy rights, I do read what I am signing in their offices now, no longer blindly trusting.
I'm grateful for those that came before me, that have and still do, fight tirelessly for the rights of all that cannot fight for themselves. Thank you.
