I've had several symptoms, concerns, etc. that just don't seem to have been researched yet.

If you've had something related to your PTSD and think a researcher should study it...post it here for posterity. Let's help them learn more about our psychological injury!

Dear Researcher....Please Study;

- whether or not there is a link between bruxism and PTSD

- whether or not those with bruxism should receive a referral for a trauma assessment to a qualified mental health practitioner

- whether or not loud announcements/music/etc. in stores triggers anxiety in the average person, and at what decibel level

- how many women with a mis-/diagnosis of vaginismus have markers for PTS, PTSD and vigilance.

- how many patients presenting with sleep disturbance score positive for PTS, PTSD

- ...and whether or not they were screened for trauma prior to receiving their sleep meds

- ...and whether or not their practitioner referred them to a qualified mental health practitioner

I had been associated with a few research institutions in the past and I am currently attending one (though clinical psychology is not my area of study).
I actually have suggested a study very similar to "whether or not loud announcements/music/etc. in stores triggers anxiety in the average person, and at what decibel level" to one of them. There are many results relating to 'sound sensitivity.'

Unfortunately, Some things are purely observational and too subjective and less of quantitative reasoning to draw a statistically significant scientific conclusion.. especially when involving terms like "qualified," and when the diagnostic procedure is largely influenced by the doc's discretion..

....a possible link between number of daily minutes in the bathroom and PTSD.

Ahhhhh! Me too. I am constantly going to the bathroom a lot and spending a long time even though I might not necessarily be doing anything. Maybe I'm just naturally slow at everything because of PTSD, but I'm wondering if it has anything to do with this as well. Thanks for bringing this up BloomInWinter!
