Bristol Support Group

Hello.

My partner has had PTSD for the past 6 years and he has been looking everywhere recently for a support group in Bristol, but to no avail.

This group seems to be quite old. However I was wondering if any of you still met up, or would meet up; in which case that would be fantastic and I could pass on this information.

Hi penguinsteps and welcome to the forum. I am sure you and your partner will find lots of help and advice here.

We did form a group in Bristol but we havent met for sometime now. As you will understand some members find socialising difficult & circumstances change which can make meeting difficult.

However, I'll happily try to organise another meet and you & your partner will be very welcome to join us. I'll start a conversation with you as that's an easier way to keep in touch.

If you dont already know there an organisation in called Bristol Mind that meets in Old Market on they run a number of social groups, not specifically for PTSD but still useful.

I will be organising a coffee get together in Birmingham towards the end of March. We will meet near New Street Station in anyone fancies making the journey. It will be a Saturday.

I'll put something on the events diary.

As cat has said, we haven't met for quite some time, but if we do meet in the future, we will include you in the arrangements. Or if you want to arrange a meet up yourself, get in touch with me or cat by PC, and we can try to get in touch with other members in the area to see if others are interested in meeting up again.
