Wow.
We just had a meeting with the new care co-ordinator and psychiatrist and it would seem we finaly have found a good fit. They displayed a good knowledge of hubbys past experiances and appear interested, motivated as well as inclusive. By this I mean that they seem willing to be guided by us to a certain extent in working together to formulate a forward plan for hubs care.
The new team members are meeting with hubs psychologist this afternoon and I think the conversation there will be quite a suprise to the psychologist who is used to battering his head off walls in order to find us help.
Hubby is now in a period where he is quite settled in his day to day behaviour, sleeping well, able to keep busy and not need me hawkeying him constantly. Much of this seems to be due to finding the right med combination thus allowing him uninterupted sleep for most of the night every night which in turn gives his mind space to stop and think and modify some of the negative thought patterns.
He said today that he feels positive and relativly happy..:D
We,and it is beginning to feel like we again rather than I are starting to regain our marriage rather than the patient carer relationship and I am happier than I have been in a long time.
I just hope the forward momentum continues although I am expecting a few wobbles in a couple of weeks time as we approach an anniversary of events.
I feel strong and although it was never on the agenda for me to quit at any time, I am thankful for the strength supplied to me by all my friends here as it was that support that pulled me through some of the harier stuff.
Love to all and strength for those who need some...
