It really is, thank you. Sometimes I think I post too much so soon, but I feel so much better when I'm done. I'm so eager to reach peace of mind, I find the more I share, and the more people relate to me, and me to them, I feel relief. I am also starved for human interaction, and being out of circulation for almost 10 years makes me horrible at keeping things brief.
Thanks so much, Monarch, and Portabella. It's people like you, and so many others, who make it easier to share and go the through day to day stuff. :-)

Omg, I search my house, too! I don't do it as often as I used to, but I still do it, especially if my husband isn't home when I come home from somewhere. I have a total system down pat of the order in which I check all the rooms. It's totally strategic so I always have an escape route.

Me too (with the system and escape route, I mean)!
My husband teases and says it's paranoia, I call it hyper vigilance :-)

Yeah, I think it's hyper vigilance. It's weird, I never made the connection before of why I do that. Thanks for talking about it. Every little bit of insight helps :-)

Yeah, I gotta admit, I pretty much search my place when I come home, and having a teen-age Daughter usually coming home at the same time, it's tricky checking the place out for unfortunate souls(unfortunate for them cuz I don't have an escape plan, only an attack plan), because I don't want to give her a reason to fear coming home, but I do feel the need to make sure nobody is gonna be popping out of a closet later. I've been known to set up booby traps in my spare room and garage, and connect them to motion sensors. It's like taking out the trash without needing to be home for it. I was so innocent when I went to Vietnam. It's all their fault!! HA! HA! HA!

LOL! We are the monsters they make us... I had a particularly good day at the shooting range and brought the target home (of course it's the perp guy w/the mask and the gun). His head shot lines up with my peephole on my front door inside(I love a .45), as well as other choice spots (leaving to the imagination). On it, marked with my lipstick kiss, reads, "Love and kisses from the little Missus". It there as a warning to anyone who comes in my house, cable guy, phone fella, anyone feeling the need to get me.
Innocence is overrated. At least that's what my bumper sticker says.
Hugs,
Tiana

I do that too, check all the rooms, closets, my husband thinks I am silly but he lets me do it. I used to do boobie traps then we got an alarm system on the house, on every window, door and 2 motion sensors, I went a bit overboard. Now we live in our new house and I haven't hooked up the alarm system (kinda proud of myself) but I still check all the rooms when I come home alone.

I don't know how long I could wait until I set up that system... way to go on being being relaxed about that! I know that's gotta be hard. I'da stayed up the first night surrounded by direction manuals, tools, and a mess! Kudos!:claps:

Ya gotta Love a woman who knows how to pick a weapon, AND USE IT!! My personal choice of handguns is my Sig Sauer P229, I replaced the barrel with a 40 caliber(same knockdown power as a 45, but more compact). Last time I range qualified for my concealed carry renewal, I even got a compliment from the rangemaster on my shooting, and I don't even think he was tryin to pick up on me. HA! HA! HA!

Are there any more at home like you, except unattached. I'm sorry, you are just sayin everything I want to hear from a woman (well, almost:think:). Someone who reads a manual instead of throwing it together and praying. You don't see that every day. I'm impressed

I have to apologise for the tardiness of my reply. This is my third attempt. I've been thwarted by rolling power outages due to our little Tropical Storm. What a pain.
Hey, I'd better send this before the gremlins take over!

Hugs,
Tiana
