Why would I want to provide a feature that could literally be used to slow the server? A refresh can be done instantly via the browser or keyboard shortcut. Providing a link here would allow a nasty problem to be exploited, which isn't going to happen.

The forum is already AJAX based, showing live updates as you peruse with real-time posting data.

Yes, you're right Anthony. It will slow down server and forums,too.

It would give someone the ability to loop the refresh and literally crash the server, if done by enough proxy connections or such.

It is quite secure... above most. Though nothing is beyond experts. It's the amateurs that need to be kept out, which the setup achieves.

I'd like the ability to be able to reply using this text box whilst using my phone, I like to check this site regularly, but I can't reply as the text field does not respond to my trying to tap it, and as a result, forget to, because when I'm on the run I use my phone to access the site.

I'd also like the ability to change frequency of email notifications, or opt for instant updates.

A phone app would be cool, but I reckon Anthony has WAAAAAAAYYYY too much on his plate to have to deal with that bullcrap also.

I use Tapatalk on my ipod, Bubzilla. Have you tried it?

Instant updates? More instant than receiving emails when someone posts?

I'm not sure if anyone has already mentioned this... I used to use the chat room all of the time, and recently nobody has been using the chat room. Maybe scheduled chat times would help bring more users in to chat at the same time, since we keep missing each other!
