I've resisted a Kindle so far - I just love books. I love looking at them on my shelves and have carted so many of them around with me over the years that they are like my old friends. But... reading about the Kindles and knowing a few people now who have them I have to say I could be tempted!!!

Toria, I know what you mean but I am now a convert. It still amazes me that I can have a full library in this little thing.

I do volunteer driving, usually taking people to medical appointments. This morning I took a lady and it was a long appointment. I finished one Kindle book and was able to look through my library and choose another to start straight away.

I am downloading at least one free book daily from Amazon.

Free books...? Sounds like my idea of heaven...

I did mention Kindles to Husband last night - and was actually able to explain the difference between the Kindle and the Kindle Fire - thank you Anthony!!! He pointed out that, as all my books are due to go in to storage on 10th December I might as well join 21st century!!! :wideeyed:

You could spend all day sifting through the top 100 free kindle books in each genre. I think I grabbed about 20 yesterday out of the mystery & thriller genre alone, all free. Use the category selection in the left menu once inside the top 100, to then see genre top 100 free books.

You could buy a Kindle and never buy another book again with the selection of free books per genre available.

I saw the film Life of Pi last night and it was phenomenal. As books are typically more enjoyable than their movie adaptations for me, I have high hopes for the book too.

Im having trouble finding the current book, not sure where to buy it. I live on the West Coast if anyone knows where in a Store that may be helpful. thanks so much
