Bored. What Do You Do For A Hobby?

Yeah I think it is really important to be able to give yourself some time. Just to do things you enjoy even if it is a walk to look for something that you might want to paint later or write a poem about. Time to relax and reflect. I suppose that is what a hobby is to do but time for yourself can be what ever you want it to be. :)

best wishes
saffy :)

I journal so I suppose that is a bit of a hobby. As well as writing in it, I paste photos, tickets and labels etc of things that has happened that day.

Earlier today, I went to a large craft shop. Wow, I could have spent ages there, if H hadn't been with me, I would have done.

I bought a couple of greeting card kits to try my hand at card making and also a felt craft pack to make felt Christmas decorations. Wish me luck.

I may go back to the shop on my own as I have a voucher that if I spend £20 I get £5 off. I think I want to try cross stitching but I'll have a good luck around.

I think I'm going to look into archery

I do archery and can attest to the fact that it's fun. It takes a lot of consistent practice to gain skill, however. It isn't really something a person can get good at doing every month or so, more something that takes a lot of dedication and time(which is perfect if you need something to be passionate about or to distract you). There are great groups around that you can get into with archery, there are bowhunting clubs and bowfishing. It's a great way to get outside and see the wild, there are also competitions at the region and state level from what I understand.

It's a great hobby, even if it runs a little expensive in the beginning. People told me to buy a bow from ebay, I actually went straight to the manufacturer for the bow I wanted and paid a few hundred dollars. It was worth every penny, my bow is still with me and in great shape 5 years later. Expect to go through a lot of arrows at first, since missing the target does damage. A lot of practice arrows is a good investment.

Are you thinking compound or recurve?

I like the simplicity of the recurve bows, but coolness factored in - compound bows look awesome and powerful, wicked sweet.

more something that takes a lot of dedication and time(which is perfect if you need something to be passionate about or to distract you).

This is part of the reason why I'm interested in it. If something isn't challenging enough for me, or has no action I don't tend to stick to it very long.
