If You Could Change / Want One Thing On The Forum?

Watched threads and your threads will never be under the same area, as they are completely different things.
Hi Anthony.
I didn't answer before as my brain really wasn't working and couldn't identify what I meant so I didn't want to waste your time.

I discovered the "all recent messages" button on the top right hand corner of the screen and that has helped a lot.

Would it be possible to have a "all watched threads" button in the same position rather than at the bottom left hand corner of the "watched threads" page where it presently is? That would really help me.

Personally I would prefer both to default to the "all" options and rather to have to click on an "unread" button to just get the unread posts. I often feel disorientated when things seem to disappear. Many times I want to re read posts others have written and that I have recently read and then get a bit confused. Guess I am already in la la land a lot and this just adds to it for me. I hope this makes some sense. Thank you.

here are better methods to respond to another members post, such as, you can refer to the person directly by username / name.
It would be nice to be able to do this in a way that would bring the persons attention to the fact that one is addressing them if that is possible. It's especially useful if it is an older post that the person may not be looking at any more. Being able to quote the persons name in a way that links back to the post will also make it more apparent that one is commenting on the whole post as when one takes out a small section I often feel it could be thought that that is the only part I am commenting on.

I like to pick out the pieces I am commenting on if I am not commenting on all of it; both to save the person time and to clarify my meaning and be as accurate as possible. Sometimes the rest of the post is really not something I have experience of and I don't want to give the wrong impression or detract from the point I am making. Thank you.

No, because they are different functions that are relevant to only you. One is a search setting, one is an account setting feature. They should not be mixed together.

Anthony, I would like it if the redirect button would tell me where it is redirecting without me clicking on the thread. This way I would know to look for it in that particular section without having to go there.

I know it is a bit anal(uptight) of me to request this. I have a system of looking through each forum before I move to the next. It throws me off.

Of course you could just tell me to get use to it, but in a nice way, and I'll try, I promise.;)

Actually Britt.f7, if you go systematically through forum by forum it would make sense that if you ignored a re-directed thread you would come across it in the forum it has been moved to. It would be easily identifiable as an unread thread. :)

You know, it would make sense. What if I miss it? Oh, and I hate anything I consider "backtracking", drives my husband insane! That is a good thing on some days! :angelic::playful:

Thank you. I'll try to keep that in mind while going through the posts. :)

Well, as you know, once you have read a thread the red dot beside it disappears so you would be able to keep track of it very easily. Keeping up with the forum is hard even if you methodically go through a section when others are posting at the same time.

The re-directed thread will be in the section it is moved to so unless being re-directed while you are posting, overlooking the actual redirection would not cause backtracking and you would eventually come to the thread in your process.
