Our bodies are soo complex. Our past, our genetics, and our current lifestyle and situation plays a part in it. The challenge is finding a solution that works but it's not simple. No one person has all the answers.

It's great to have these discussions. I don't put hope in any doctor, counselor, etc. I consider their advice and weigh it against other things because no one person can possibly know all facets of another human being! Except Dr. Oz. Ha ha!

I love the soft meat in fresh green coconuts. :)

Abstract, you put lemon and salt on the green coconut meat or the water? I'm confused....

:roflmao: That does sound decidedly interesting but sadly no. The coconut water that one can buy apparently is harvested from green coconuts and it is a bit sour hence Hashi's interesting green smilie faces! It is not only sour coconut water that I like but anything sour and that includes eating lemon flesh just as is with salt on!

That is really interesting as I could not imagine what they would do with coconut once they harvested the water if they were green. I imagined them trying to mature the rest or throwing them away but maybe there is a market for them. What does it taste like? I might quite like it I think.

It's sour because it's not fresh. :p

The fresh is sweet and very tasty! I don't think Hashi has tried fresh. I can do lemon and lime but salt??!! Only margarits thank you!

Hmmmm good question about the meat for the young green coconuts. Texture is like jello but s bit firmer. Of course, closer to the rind and it's tougher. I am going to think they use the pulp for other things, maybe into candies and foods. Not sure if it is dehydrated like mature coconuts.

Sometimes I send myself text messages as reminders. Lists are hard for me. :(

Hmmm I don't know about "fresh" green coconuts. Maybe Hawaii but in mainland US, I don't think I'd care for them. But I guess there is a market for sour coconut water!

Britt, you can find them in Asian grocery stores for much cheaper than standard supermarkets. Although I've seen it become more available. Just note that they often add sugar.

Bummers on garbanzos! :(

Actually me too in a way SG. I get scared if I see a piece of paper with things to do on them and then end up not being able to function. :( But for shopping items I take lists on my phone. Pieces of paper disappear as quickly as I compile them.

Britt, I get coconut water from Wholefoods in the UK so maybe they will do it there too. And the one I get is 100% as it came out of the coconut :) but not cheap I am afraid. :( SG it is a great idea to look at asian market for less expensive options. My Wholefoods kefir and coconut water habit is going to bankrupt me. :wideeyed:
