Slowly, but surely, my groove is coming back. I got a fair bit done yesterday with new help videos, research and wiki self help content, which is starting to come along. The problem with the self help section is that as I write one thing, it pops something else in my brain, thus I have to go research another facet to include for a later page.
I do believe I got it right though for the medium, as this gives the best scope possible for adding more at any given stage as PTSD evolves, members provide feedback and give their wishes, et cetera.
I have a few things rolling around in my mind with future development, current issues and bugs that I simply don't like... and many will be fixed with the next release of Xenforo software, thankfully.
The next XF will be responsive by default, and because Xenforo have done it the feedback will be enormous, thus they can bug fix it to perfection. This means I will be able to get this site back to a more default style (not really noticeable to members) that has less problems. The next release will allow me to remove some add-ons for less overall strain on the server.
At present I'm awaiting a gallery addition to be completed, and if it suits the purpose then I hope to get it in here once 1.2 is running live later in the year. That will fix the long awaited problem of all media, giving members back user albums that do photo and video, but as a user album as well as a forum album.
The Sitemail has been quite a headache for Flashcoms to get right, and they're still working on it to iron out some issues. I'm hoping this gets completed over the next week or two now that a major hurdle got fixed this week with id's being recognised by the browser for each session, correctly. Fingers crossed.
I'm going to use Nicolette's new domestic abuse site as the test bench for the new software, that way I can play around with it from default and learn all the new additions. Often things get missed when simply upgrading, as it's not common to go back and check all settings.
