When you make a hilarious joke about something from your past and when you lift your head from laughing you see looks of shock and horror on the faces of the people around you.

When your therapist is shocked by some of your traumas. And then she goes on to tell you what you said during your first few sessions. That you really have had to deal with trauma all of your life.

Did this too. I decided not to share things with friends, since my therapist has to breathe through some of my trauma.

When even going out into your own yard causes you deep anxiety.

When you realize that you used to causally pass by the stands in the middle at the mall that screamed at you to buy things and now you're deathly afraid of them and the straighteners they point at you!

When the word 'therapist' is a trigger because you realize it can be divided in two words. And then you get all weird about saying it.

When you go into urgent care for the cold that has you unable to stand up and the doctor is too panicked about your heart rate being 130 and your blood pressure being 180/150. All he can talk about is you needing to go the the emergency room and the cold gets ignored even though you try to explain that medical settings are very stressful for you and that's why your numbers are up.

When you don't have enough money in the supermarket cash register, and you ask the clerk to remove one product... and when you still don't have enough, you ask the clerk to remove another product, and when you still don't have enough, you ask the clerk to remove the third product, and you finally pay... and you are not even embarrassed anymore because this has happened so often now. Ooops...!:rolleyes:

And so to avoid that happening again, next time you bring a pencil and paper and write down the price for everything, making sure to check the prices twice and add it all up before paying, and have some extra for change. Which means you need at least 2 hours to go to the supermarket. But that's okay, I've got time!
