I too am from Scotland, and have never eaten deep fried, battered chocolate products

OOoo I have, just to see what they were like and I've got to say the verdict was not good. It doesn't help that they look like something from a horror movie/doctor's laboratory when you look inside . But it was all in the spirit of trying something new and now I have I won't again.

Any particularly strong thoughts about Mel Gibson??? Ever painted your backside blue? (Sorry that's quite a personal question!:wideeyed: )

I bet you can't resist a bit of 500 miles by The Proclaimers. That brings back memories of walking home from the pub in my sixth form days.

Are there some other myths about Germans...which I might correct?

Anrish, what's your take on your homelands facial hair? Can we visualise you like this? :woot::woot:

:grumpy: I'm not allowed to show a picture of a man with a big curly moustache. :bored:

personally I like a fully grown man in short trousers and braces

You can meet some of them in Bavaria

... and in some clubs in London, but that's another story.

Well, I'm assuming that by the age of five you were native-speaker level in English, French and Spanish, with a working knowledge of at least two Scandinavian languages and probably also fluent in the local dialect spoken by the 248 other people in your valley?

@Hashi : I don't know where you got this from with the lots of languages.... ...the funny thing about Germans is that most of them always say "We're in Germany, so speak German"...most of other people I know are not really open toward foreign languages. When I talk to English-speaking persons in English at work, my colleagues just say "Why do you do this? They shall learn German!"...not everyone is so crazy about languages like I am. Most Germans are lazy concerning that matter. That's at least what I experience everyday.
