'Smile of Germany' is that what they're calling Merkel! Good God she exudes all the natural Joie de Vivre of a British bulldog with the flu. Mind you, I am not criticising her. I would swop you a Merkel for a Cameron in a heartbeat. She is not smiley but that's ok, cos she's not employed to grin like a fool.

OOo I like this idea. It's like putting a hamper together for village raffle. I'd also include a stuffed Gove, that Eric PIckles and a lovely jar of home made marmalade.

In terms of royals it's a little more tricky. You see although some of them are pretty hopeless and quite beyond help in the tact department, they do make me laugh (if you ignore the expense). We could hire out Princess Eugene for fancy dress parties and seminars on what hats to avoid.
