If your life's a masquerade, you can be anybody. Just find the mask that's who you want to be.

I've tried. I've built my life from nothing. On the outside, the mask everyone sees, I have it together. On the inside, behind the mask, I'm not even close to being ok.

Give it time, every step you've walked so far matters, and you've come to the right place to talk to people and pick new tools at.

Then you are that person that people see on the outside. You have a name, you have an identity. You may feel hollow -inside-, but that person that people see on the outside is easily as important as your inner self. Almost more important. One of my favourite quotes comes from Batman Begins, where a woman tells Bruce that "it's not who you are inside, it's your actions that define you to the world." or something similar. That is extremely true. I know it sounds weird, but look at your drivers license. That's who you are. :hug:

I can really relate to this. I am building my somebody. It is overwhelming and confusing and most times I don't know where to start.

Am I my environment? Am I my name (perhaps why I keep changing it)? Am I what other people see? And most lethal of all imho, am I what other people say I am?

I am attempting to see the freedom in choosing who I want to be and filling the emptiness with that.

Your not a nobody you are someone, a someone that regardless of what's hurting or feeling you took the courage to join this forum and I'm really pleased you did . You will meet many people who feel the same but as sufferers and supporters we unite to help each other . X
