Cymbalta Anyone?

I'm just ready to see my dr Monday so we can get a plan going. I'm ready to be back to normal![/QUOTE...
I am not a doctor (although I play one on tv. ha) Seriously, if your doc recommends taking a capsule every other day to ween yourself off of it, DON'T DO IT. Missing just one day of cymbalta can often make you very sick. Counting and reducing the little blue granules inside is the best way, trust me.

I think duration of withdrawal symptoms can vary greatly from person to person. If I recall correctly, for me it took about two weeks for the brain zaps and other fun stuff to go away.
No, I didn't stay on the Prozac, was only on it for about two weeks. (But I have taken it as a maintenance antidepressant before). I tried Saphris after that but knew within a week it wasn't for me. Then I was on Pristiq, which worked ok for a year or two (another one with terrible withdrawal symptoms) but I've since switched to amitryptaline.

Try not to focus too much on the horror stories, just accept that it'll be sucky for a little bit and then it'll be over. I might go as far as to suggest you try to avoid reading the stories as much as possible. Talk to your doc about what you can expect so that you're prepared going into the transition. You can do :)
