Its hard to explain how profound my expeirance was. But take the fact that I went from imobobilty to walking as far as 2.5 mile hike in the mountains. My pain levels dropped about 70%. With that being said came back within 24 hours of my return. Hope you enjoy. Ask questions I cant find the words.

Night you are awesome, your pictures are wonderful and I'm glad you had a wonderful trip. You deserve so much to be pain free and I have no idea why it went and came back. Could it be the stress at home is just to much ? So it is having a huge affect on your body ?
Maybe we should just get a bunch of us and run away together, isn't there an island somewhere that they have made for us I keep reading about ....... That sounds a pretty good place to start off :)

Aside from the tripPics (gushing on hold for a moment) THAT'S SUCH AWESOME NEWS!!! So 70% of your pain is situation based :) :) :) Which means you can ditch it by changing your situation! Oohf*ckingrah! Hell yes! That's fantastic. :D

Now... IDK what the situation is that is affecting your pain levels (elevation, humidity, temp, activity levels, allergy, diet, light, air quality, water content, etc....) but when you go somewhere and pain vanishes, and come back and it's instant return? Love. It. Cause you know it's malleable. It is responding... Strongly... To something environmentally based.

Any idea what the differences are? Something you can replicate at home? Moving or respite-trips in your future? <grin> So happy for you!!!

I think altitude and lower temps with a stable enviroment helped. I had to be above 6500 ft and lower than 11,000 so it did play a role. Iam traveling back there in Feb to see how my joints behave in the cold. Then I can decide if I need to move permantly or if I need to just go during the summer months.

I am not sure how I can pull either of them off finacially but I have to find a way to have more of a life and less pain.

NH so happy for you about taking this trip and being able to reduce your pain levels. Mabe a move is in order for you. What a great idea to move far away from triggering situations and just start over. I have done this myself and it has made such a huge difference in my life.

Wow thank you for sharing. You sure are full of gifts. I so appreciate you sharing your trip with us. No one can steal the good memories away from you and I am so very proud of you for actually doing the trip anyways in spite of how you were feeling at the time. Way to go and good for you. Hugs.
