Spitting snow again and cold. Freezing fog. Supposed to get down to 10 tomorrow night. My chickens are locked in the coop. We're all molting.........

it was cloudy and grey. I did the skip run, which cleared out the back garden of junk. Did some pruning while the chickens looked on.

now the sun is going down and there is at last, a bit of blue to be seen in the sky. Taking dogs out to go look at sunset. Behind the gasworks.

It's a beautful day here in Florida. Nice change of pace. We have traditionally mild winters...beats shoveling snow! This has been the coldest winter in the past 12 or so years. Last week we had three nights of below freezing. Very odd for us.

Today I have my windows open to let the house air out a bit and I'm enjoying it.

cool Irton...I googled Irton Pike because I thought it might be a pike or hill or something, rather than maybe your real name. Although I will totally kick myself if it is your real name. And I apologise in advance please...

Anyway I googled it and its rather lovely there...well really lovely there..and I have to say I kind of imagined you living there rather than...

Although I am thinking you dont maybe live behind the gasworks as such although if you do then thats cool to.
I live in a cottage and Im not 5 mins froma gas thingy and im in a town...and its not a flash cottage either or anything so....old in fact its not a cottage, I dont know what to call it...wee small terraced house for the workers??? ( sorry god I talk shite Im so sorry )
The point I was trying to make-rather badly i know...was that I envisaged you along dales and moors walking your dogs...especially when you got the chickens too.

and reading there was a bit of a " out of the words that you had written...this doesnt sound good what Im trying to say.

its raining here....all day...and I have a personal cloud over my head now as i type...sorry Irton...am going with my gut and posting in the hope you might chuckle.

Today it's mostly sunny, with a light breeze (I can see the 12' tall pampas grass in the front yard swaying gently), and warm enough to melt some of the snow and ice off the roof (I hear it dripping). Now I just have to get out of my jammies and outside for a walk or something... :rolleyes:

Last night's weather was really different, something I've never seen here before: really, really heavy fog. I could actually see the directional beams of light of my headlights as if they were giant flashlights, and driving was of course really slow. Oh, and for the record, my foglamps didn't help at all...made it more difficult to see, actually! Go figure.
