Have you read through any of the Return of Kings websites?

It's just spreading hate against women & femininity. That sort of speech has very real effects on people who find it okaying their already f*cked up ideas and behaviors. Who go out and act. It's not harmless, words have power.

Long tirades about hate-worthiness/deserving of people of a particular gender, shockingly, promotes violence. He doesn't have to spell the word 'rape' all over it. If it quacks like a duck, & all.

Not all satire is meant to be funny or fun, or induce laughter. This one certainly didn't.

I am gratefull for all of the people who have stood up against this one. For many years there has been groups fighting for the right to molest children which sickens me. I forget the name of the lobbying group.

Our society tolerates the exploitation of women in so many ways. It is a battle that has been waged against women and children as property for so many years.

I am glad for all of the countries that have banned him. Ignorance is the true enemy and when good people remain silent in my opinion.

This guy in my opinion will get his eventually.

He didn't say it. His lawyer did, there was a fuss about it (rightly) then I think the lawyer backtracked, ,not sure. Should be easily googlable though

I'm not going to jump in to defend the guy (I don't know the context of his "joke")

But i am prone to an inappropriately dark and sick sense of humour.

Once on the forum here, it lead to a tirade that I had joked about rape. At the time I let that slip by without challenge, with hindsight, I should have pulled the member up on the rape part of the rant.

This isn't meant as any dis service to the member, who was obviously thoroughly offended, and please don't put their name here, the time for that is long gone,

just as an illustration of how easily the accusation can be made.

I think that's where context matters though. Such as a difference in target audience. It's not really the same to joke with friends & where context is clear, as when a publicly known figure, in position of authority and power.

Movement and action day is global and local. On site you can find very local to you risings, they dance and sing to draw attention to the enormity and scale of the violence, the lack of resources and effort by civil servants / governments law will to curb and prosecute sexual violence. Many create spontaneous flash mob style get togethers in public. Men are of course very welcome and encouraged to participate, they too are harmed by sexual violence to themselves and their loved one.

I think of Bill Cosby and what is going on, a win the other day for a trail to proceed. Also with Oscar Pistorious, now court finds him guilty of murder. Pressure brought about a change of the court finding.

Always confuses me why the Statue of Limitations on Rape and Sexual Assault in most of the US are a very short time period. 3 years max, unless under the age of 18. The rational is that memory erodes overtime and is not reliable. Tell that to someone with flashbacks.

And then there is the creepy trial in Canada for Jian Ghomeshi's sex assault trial.

In war times it has always been rape and plunder. The word rape was not misconstrued, non consensual violation of a person.
