Hello.
My name is Kayleigh (though I prefer to be known as Dakota or Kiwii). I am 17 years old, 18 in a week and it's only now that I am getting therapy etc to cope with what I have been through.

I went through a very traumatic childhood. From the deaths of my brother, nan and watching my mother die to abuse from my father and a woman who walked in days after my mom was in hospital forcing me to call her mom.

I feel as though my therapist doesn't quite understand what I'm going through currently with reoccurring memories the show without any cause and major anxiety attacks.

I have been diagnosed with anxiety depression and ptsd and i'm looking for some support as I cannot talk to family members and I have no friends due to social anxiety.

I am also capable of helping others I don't know as it seems to lift me from my depression when I can make other feel a little better.

Thank you for your time and I hope I can be as much of a support as many of you are.

The stuff you went through is really awful, I hope this place helps you get better. There is a lot of advice and information on here.

Maybe telling the thing directly to your theraphist could work better, e.g., that you think he doesnt understand (people often dont).

oh, keeping a diary or similar is quite useful.

Takes time to function well with a theraphist, I've been in theraphy for years.

Don't be discouraged by problems, they can be passed
 
Hi ya Kiwii and welcome ~ ride the waves, up and down, breathe in and out, and somehow keep listening to the voice that wants to live. Okay?! Great first "step" with your post. Now, keep going… one step at a time.

Totally relate.

As Saelben recommended keep notes or dairy. I have a file labeled Doc that I quickly can add things. Also Evernote

Thank you :) I live in UK and my current therapist is through the college I currently attend... she is good considering the counselling I had when I was seven was just me colouring and being happy at the felt tips xD if the college counsellor doesn't work I have been asked to attend positive steps by my doctor, college and previous school. Thank you for the comment ^-^ I hope I can be some support to you also :)
