I'm going to think of that as "Great News: Phase 1". Hoping and praying the rest of the test results are also good.
I have always chosen this type of career path as I felt so helpless as an abused child I simply never wanted to see anyone else suffer like I did,
I've always been in a totally different line of work from you, but a friend, many years ago, told me that I had a "thing" for orphans. That, if he wanted me to care about something, ANYTHING, all he had to do is present it to me as "an orphan" something that no one else loved or cared about. He said he thought that I'd "felt unwanted as a child and took some kind of vow that no one else (or nothing else) would ever feel that was as long as I was around." Something I'd never noticed until he said that. Not the worst thing in the world @Mr Laurie ! Not the worse thing by far!

You know @Mr Laurie when someone bares their soul as you have done I fail to see how anyone could respond with anything but kindness.
I'm constantly surprised by how kind people have been, and continue to be, to me on this forum. I often feel I don't deserve the kindness but like you I really do welcome it and am grateful to anyone who takes the time to respond to me. Even if you feel alone you now know for certain that you are not and can come talk to us on here when you need support. I won't always be able to answer or even have the answer you need but kindness is definitely something we can all offer.

Well today went from elation at getting my primary test result as a negative, just to see me rushed into NDDH with Aeortic Arythmia, a tachycardic heartrate and a dropped heart beat every few seconds, my blood pressure sky rocketed and I had to be blue-lighted into the ER.

Talk about bloody Luck !!

Thankfully my ECG came back negative later this afternoon and I was discharged home again after 8 hours of observations and blood tests. The Oncology tests are off to the lab for culture and analysis and I should be receiving the results by Thursday/Friday.

As promised I will keep this thread updated and again thank every member who has responded with a  **Only gentle :hug:s please as my chest and ribs are rather tender and painful. Mind you the IV Morphine was fantastic :)

Well the morphine has finally started to wear off, man does my chest hurt like buggery, just been checked over by the Para's again and left at home with strict instructions to call 999 if the pain escalates in my chest. I would NOT recommend anyone go cold turkey off of Alcohol and Cocaine both at the same like like I am forcing myself to do, bloody hell this hurts.

Am going to be liaising with GP tomorrow, :coffee: time as trust me it seems to calm me down and helps me sleep. Night Night dear forum buddies.

Aortic Arrhythmia refers to an irregularity in the rhythm of (I'm guessing) the aortic valve, which is what the blood passes through in order to enter the aorta, the largest artery in the body. So, newly re-oxygenated blood goes to the aorta from the (left?) ventricle chamber of the heart. (note: I'm doing this from memory, I'll come back and check it later. I might have it completely bungled :ninja:)

I appreciate your answer, but I still can't find this. Sure the valves can fail or not function as the ought, but they do not have a rhythm as such. Arrhythmia refers to the abnormal beating of the heart, so I just wondered why the aorta is a part of the name.

It doesn't matter. It is just that I am a very nosey person and like to understand medical stuff. I recall that @Mr Laurie was himself a medic so wondered about his understanding of what the doctor was telling him. However I also get that he was incredibly stressed at the time and could so easily have mis-heard something.

I keep you in my prayers Laurie. I am hoping for the best possible ourcomes for you in everything that you are dealing with.
