Our Pets

I love dogs, cats, & horses... But I'm not in a place in my life to have any at the moment.

So I've been considering getting another kind of pet (snake, ferret, goldfish, rock, rat, rabbit).

Led me to wondering what kinds of pets all y'all might have? What do you love best about them? What's difficult about them? Got Pix?

I have giant African land snails, I found that they were actually therapeutic, (abit like if you watch fish in a fish tank). They make me & the room feel so calm & sliming around without a care in the world. People call me strange cos I keep them, but some of the breeds are stunning! The best thing is that if I hit a low point & start to neglect myself and my surroundings they are always ok (that sounds terrible I do that). The photo is of my latest two snail babies, they are tigers gals & they look small but they'll grow to a whopping 7 1/2 inches!

I have an aquarium with 3 fish and I have 15 aquarium snails. They are malesian aquarium snails and they breed so intensively that I have to get rid of them every month, I keep only these 15 and I could have hundreds. I love them all so much. Especially bcs I don't have a possibility to have some pet with four legs and a fur right now :).

The only thing you need to do for them is to wash an aquarium once a month, that's all and to feed them every morning. And I am satisfied with a fact that having them now there are almost 20 of us in my room, great number I could say ;)

My big fat black boy cat is the light of my life.
I've had him for about 11 years now and he's convinced he is the man of the house.
He sits at the front gate each afternoon awaiting my arrival home from work.

My husband was once his favourite human, but then hubby left.
Think fat man felt as abandoned as I did and will no longer tolerate hubby, when he picks him up for a tummy rub fatty will 'tolerate' the pleasing pat but refuses to look him in the eye, he's so loyal lol

One night hubby came by to talk, about 6 months after he moved out.
Not wanting to disturb my kids with our emotional conversation we met around the corner in his car to talk.

About 20 minutes later we hear a great thud on the car. Fat man had noticed mum missing and sniffed me out, and was poking his head in the car window with a look that said 'AND WHY are you fraternising with the ENEMY?'
Before stalking all the way home directly in front of me as if escorting me to my rightful place and away from the evil man who made me cry.

f*ck I love that cat hahaha

Up to a month ago I always had cats (pictures on on here somewhere). Best support animals ever. Gave me comfort, knew how and when to ground me, perfect guard animals- always knew when danger was actually danger, awesome sense of humour, always knew what was going on in my head even when I didn't. My last little boy (sadly died last month) thought he was my nanny, I swear. I was off sick from work recently, and all the time I was at home he wouldn't let me out of his sight. If I did dare go out I got a proper telling off when I got home. He even used to walk me up the stairs to bed, and sit on my chest when I was triggered. And he gave the best smelly kisses.:p
