Undiagnosed Awaiting assessment & wanting to try EMDR

Hi. New here. Awaiting an assessment that will likely give me a PTSD diagnosis (likely cPTSD). Counsellor and I have done the PTSD scale (came out at severe)...but she cannot diagnose. Wanting to try EMDR when I can.

There’s some good threads about how folks have found EMDR as a treatment modality. Typically it gets good feedback in terms of how helpful it is for symptom management, but solid preparation is essential to making sure it doesn’t go completely pear-shaped:)
