How wonderful! I often thought as I raised my son that I was getting a chance to reparent myself by raising him the way I wasn't raised. He is a kind, compassionate, intelligent 17 year old now.

I'm totally down with DharmaGirl (and all the beautiful shares). Congrats to your discovery on a joy like no other! The innocence, raw emotions and the big appearing eyes were made for us to bond.

When those moments occur and my heart sang with my son's, many layers of pain melted away. Love can conquer all: wrap yourself in it's warmth each day!

Definitely so so happy I was off duty today and was there to see it.

We're both so happy that he is turning into such a happy and independent little guy. And it's great to be able to see qualities of yourself in there that you can relate to when you never felt able to relate like that to relatives before. Thanks for sharing everyone :-)

He is a adorable baby well on his way to walking more and more and then running. I am so happy you trusted us with this precious moment. I just love babies.
