Pretty :) wow a year already, only seems like yesterday we were getting all excited with you about your wedding. Congrats to both you and Anthony Nicolette and may you have many more happy years together!!

All the best Pebs

SO pretty! Thanks for the peek!! I also have one of 'those' husbands, and do not know how one gets lucky enough to find THE one who also has the ability to pick the sort of sentimental presents one treasures the most. This ring is SUCH a pretty treasure!

It's really easy Anni...as he was grumbling about it, I made an appointment with the jeweller, came home with a price, he said I was worried about it too early but I knew they needed about 6 months notice to source the pink diamonds when they want to match them, paid a deposit, sweet talked him on a flight by telling how much I would have preferred every second diamond pink instead of every 3rd as I saw the one in the picture (as I was being money conscious by going every 3rd in the first place with some being better than none), was asked if I had every second one as pink would that be enough to shut me up , said yes, jumped off the plane and ran to the toilet and rang the jeweller :naughty:, and then organized the payment.

When he says he has had no say it in it I say rubbish - you agreed to every second diamond being pink, you refuse to let me pick it up and you won't let me have it before the anniversary. You have not had to endure any stress so what more would a man want?! You should see the look I get:rofl:

What is even funnier is I gave him an anniversary choice of either a vasectomy and an eternity ring or option two: a baby...guess who got what she wanted???:clap:

PS...he is a sweetie and a good man but can't let that secret out!

As the saying goes....the man holds the head but the woman can turn the neck!!! :poke:

Heeheehee OH my I'm crying!! That's the funniest thing I've ever read! SIX rings are less expensive, too! Was just going to log off when tought I'd check new posts-glad I did because am leaving laughing again for the day!!

THAT is priceless-and am not telling my hubby since it's even a little recognizable in some elements!!!

Also in that case perhaps the ring requires a name. :)

The ring is gorgeous Nicolette.

MMM bit of a price to pay for it though, the choice of a vasectomy and a ring or a baby. What if he had gone for the baby option, hate to think what you would have done then.

Definitely agree with anni, the ring does deserve a name.

The faerie tale continues.

Best wishes and blessings to you both.

Congrats Nicolette!

This reminds me of a diamond company's slogan I saw...."Diamonds, take her breath away" or was it "Diamonds, leave her speachless"?

Nope! I think it was more like "Diamonds...that'll shut her up!" HA!

Lifting a glass to you both...you make a great team.

Ametist, I would have won with the baby option, at the cost of some sleep, as I told Anthony an eternity ring was either first year of marriage or first child.

Secretly though we both have over 18 year olds now & they are the best contraception you could ever need. Life in jail is generally a 20 year sentence so my time is almost up as much as my love son. Anthony too, has come to a similar realisation! Grand children when you're almost 60 is fine but the thought of a teenager at that age....eek!

The ring is beautiful....I have never seen pink diamonds, they are actually prettier that regular ones. Nice choice Nicolette, the ring won't cause you any headaches, sleepless nights, worry, dirty diapers, and all of the lovely things that come with children....Very wise choice!!!!!!

Yes, my 19 year old is now being HELPED to pack to leave for this year at school. I'm being really, really REALLY helpful-gosh I do love her but a solid summer of teen-female angst has me frayed. I just hope the children pick a nice rest home for me some day, perhaps with shuffle board. I don't even know what that is but it sounds boring and delightful at this point.
