PTSD changes your brain chemistry and the way you perceive the world and also makes your nervous system more wary. It is what I've come to accept and no amount of coping or therapy really changes the brain back to how it was wired before, although it does help some people if they're willing. I think that's what makes it 'uncurable' and becomes an endless cycle of trying to get better.
