One of the first things I needed to do to help with my PTSD. Was to accept I had a problem. Once I did that and shared my problems with my doctors. The education and medication and my willingness to listen and take recommendation and implementing these idea's into to my everyday life. Then I started seeing improvements. some of these ideas included positive self talk, gratitude, honesty.
Today I consider myself a work in progress. Wake up and I realize how blessed I am just for waking up getting on my feet and walking. telling myself this is going to be a good day. Of course there is going to be hurdles to overcome. but recognising your blessings first thing everyday makes them hurdles just a little bit easier.
