General Accepted Into Law School!

:cool: Thank you! I have been through so many emotions after deciding to apply and am so glad to finally breathe!

My personal statement told a very condensed version of my story. The question was about how I thought I would be able to handle the tough and challenging environment of law school. Maybe one day I'll post my response to that question, as it deals a lot with loving someone who has PTSD. My first effort in combating the code of silence that seems to surround combat PTSD. There is no shame in what we've been through!

I thank you all from the very bottom of my heart.

I tell you what tho', you will both have to do some adapting when the school work kicks in.

I started my degree 5 years after his accident and we really felt the impact. I had been working for 3 years so he had got used to me being out of the house but when my time at home wasn't "his" and my exam revision kicked in...

He christened himself my "monkey butler" and redesignated the kitchen as "The Pony Cafe" with a cute sign including a shetland pony. He cooked and cleaned (what he could) plied me with coffee and cake and got back in the driving seat to cover the shopping.

Best thing I ever did. I so, so hope it works for you guys.

I am trying to prepare for that impact, PW. Hubby is a full time student on his own right now, working to get into PT school since getting out of the army a year ago. I'm hoping this will be a good thing rather than a bad, as most evenings he is locked into the office studying anyway. Now, I'll just be locked in there with him!

Thank you all so much! I am so overwhelmed by your kindness and support. If it were not for this place I doubt I would have ever realized how important it was for me to look after and take care of my own needs, wants, and dreams.

More great news..I was actually accepted into another law school this past Friday. The scholarship is lower, BUT the law school is ranked much higher. Decisions decisions....:)

You all are the best. Seriously. I am so grateful for all of you.
