Adding Lexapro to Wellbutrin...nervous

So I'm supposed to start taking lexapro to ease anxiety with the wellbutrin I've been taking for a year now. The wellbutrin has helped my depression, energy levels and focus. I really like it and feel it's helped but I need help with my anxiety. I know wellbutrin is sometimes prescribed to combat the side effects of SSRIs..I'm so worried about gaining weight as I've gained alot recently due to stress and hormones changing. I want to loose not gain! I'm also worried about the sexual side effects. Sex is already hard for me and I don't want to get even harder.

I know I have to just try and see how it goes but I'm really getting anxiety thinking about it.

I trialled quite a lot of psychotropics (somewhere between 25-30), and I have always been up front with my prescriber that weight-gain is a no-go for me, like any other side effects that would rank as intolerable. It would place too much downward pressure on my self-concept and mood.

That’s perfectly legitimate, and something that has always been respected. If its going to negate any benefit from the medication, they may as well know. There are always other options.

Lexapro changed my life for the better, I take 20mg. I was suffering desparately from anxiety and depression and I equate it to taking a mild form of ecstacy. I have put on weight but my mirtazapine is being reduced from 45mg to 30mg at some point to combat weight gain. I go to the gym aswell. I can still get an erection. My quality of life and state of mind is much better.

I guess I'll see how it goes and then be honest I experience unwanted side effects. I hate trying new stuff lol
