Today I received information about my adoption history that was interesting. My birth mother who was living in a home for unwed mothers until I was born apparently did not "surrender" me until I was 6 weeks old. I had a name.
Yet she returned to her family when I was 4 days old, and I was left in a home for, well, orphans and surrendered children apparently.
There was a psychologist's report from an examination of me at 6 weeks that concluded I was suitable for adoption. It was interesting that it indicated I was "highly excitable" and "rigid" with "fists clenched" until held which I "clearly enjoyed".
Hmm. Guess I've been this way all my life. Needing to be held to be calm. Ugh. How do you fix that?
Just wrote a letter to my birth mother. Think I may be ready to meet her if she's still around.
