I eat peppermint sweets if it's me but we aren't allowed to do that with patients so we put peppermint oil in boiling water (cos boiling water also helps with gas pain and it's usually post surgical). But mint sweets probably taste better tbh

grating a thumb size piece of ginger and low boil it for 20 min or longer for use as a tea helped me when I had trauma based nausea w/ vomiting. I like the peppermint idea but do you just use an oil or just eat a hard peppermint candy?
I have peppermint tea-bags at home. When I googled it, they said oil in hot water was an option, as Chris-duck said, also you can get peppermint oil in capsules at the pharmacy. Google even said peppermint oil works as aromatherapy for nausea, by sniffing/ inhaling the essential oil.

I used to take peppermint oil capsules years ago for irritable bowel syndrome. They were the only thing that worked, to stop the bowel cramps, so I know that it is effective, but I've never tried it for nausea before.

I keep Zofan (ondesetron) sublingual tablets, & compazine patches around.

Google also seems to really like ginger herbal teas, tho I don't, but Google likes them so much, I may have to look into this

I hate ginger tea... but pickled ginger? Voila! Lovely. Works just as well.

So does candied fresh ginger which isn’t really my thing (you can buy ginger-chews all over the place), although the ones dipped in chocolate aren’t half bad, I’m just not super into sweets.

My kiddo is really fond of chicken broth with fresh ginger grated into it, and lemon squeezed over it.

Both of us are quite fond of ginger coconut milk curries, and extra gingery gyoza.

So if ginger works for you? There are quite a few different ways to go about it.
