I've been with my boyfriend for about 5 months. Hes had ptsd after coming back from afganistan, after 3 tours. First few months, he was sweet as could be. He still detached but now Its getting worse. He snaps at me often when I don't answer something the way he wants me to, when I make a mistake he gets angry.. He's so unemotional.. I wonder sometime if he truly loves me. His PTSD is untreated. I just need to know if I'm crazy or what I can do to help him. I've been crying constantly because of the attitude he has towards me.

You're not crazy, and you cannot help him. He has to help himself.

There is nothing you can do or say to fix it or make it better if he is untreated.

Encourage him to seek treatment. If he refuses, then I'd seriously reconsider your relationship. PTSD is one of those disorders that needs treatment in order to improve in most cases.

if this is a British Soldier then the problem may be seeking help. On average it takes 14 years for that first step. The military culture combined with lack of support makes it difficult to seek help. Might be a good start using facebook for support from veterans
