Friday afternoon... becoming quite worn out from reading, studying, running websites, household stuff, etc etc... we all know how it goes, so I had a scotch. Wow... one scotch, and I feel light headed. First time I have had a drink in quite a while... dizzy.

Well, that's because you didn't share half with me....oh yeah, I'm still at work!!!! (xxxx)

OH I do miss Tequila. Or maybe I miss the fun that Tequila and I used to have. I did have some whiskey the other day and it seems to make for a bad night sleep.....but then...it wasn't Tequila.

"Fairly unsober" hee- excellent turn of phrase! Yes, alcohol is a distant memory- teeny amounts sets off migraine. Can't imagine what a scotch would do beyond that. Do not envy you the whole dizzy thing-maybe it's the PTSD but in latter years started to hate that whole alcohol disconnect- control just too key!

I have not had a drink now since March 2008. I have been sorely tempted many times over the past 3 years, but cannot stand the smell of it at all now.

So when poor hubby falls off the wagon, and goes of on one, even though he knows he should not touch it at all now. Then he has to keep well away from me, until the smell goes of the volcano calms down. :whistling:

Yes, I don't even really like alcohol, and didn't drink for years...happily. Sometimes I like to just have a couple of drinks though, almost to break up the routine more than anything...do something "normal" once in a while.

I do like drinking infused vodka shots in winter, and have adopted the russian philosophy of keeping my insides warm this way. I don't require more than one shot,a nd the effect lasts for quite a while. Tequila is good for this as well, and sake.
Gosh, I'm sounding like quite the alco aren't I?:whistling:

I really don't drink that often though. It's nice to do things you don't usually do once in a while.

My wife has been ill on two glasses of wine, which as you can imagine makes my drinking look ten times worse than it would to any normal drinker.:alien:
