I'm working on personal affirmations and would appreciate some feedback. Please find below.

1. I want to get better.
2. I love myself OR I want to love myself.
3. I like myself OR I want to like myself.
4. I want to be present today.
5. I want to be self-aware.
6. I'm interested in myself and I want to get to know myself better.
7. I don't want to hurt myself and I don't want to put myself in bad situations.
8. I want to grow closer to Christ and understand my life through his.
9. I want to help others in the ways that I am able to at this moment.
 
Perhaps replace "want" with "can." Emphasis on the work, not the result. There are days when I can't love myself but I'm still allowed to.

I can love myself.

I will try to be self-aware.
I will try to be present today.

Note: might be too wishy-washy for you.

I pair affirmations with a daily debriefing focusing on the positive. Short 'n' simple.
- I did something for myself today.
- I lost it for a while, but remembered to use grounding techniques.
- I did something poorly today, but I maybe I can learn to do better.
