New Here
I was diagnosed with PTSD in 2007 after my first tour in Afghanistan. I was really hard to accept and I was faced with a choice, either I ''get better'' or I would eventually be released. I got ''better''. Very few people know that I have PTSD as where I live your medical condition is only disclosed to your chain of command if it affect your job. I joined this group to exchange with people who like me, seem t olive a perfect life on the outside, but live a constant battle inside.

Welcome flanker!

You might find additional support on our "brother" website [DLMURL]http://mycombatptsd.com[/DLMURL]

That site is for veterans only and may provide more specific insight and support for you; although this site is great too!

Sincerely,
Dallas.

Thank you for your service Flanker. I'm so sorry the support is not there in the military and that PTSD is still such a taboo issue. I think that soldiers would be much healthier if the military and government would insist on treatment for PTSD instead of making it a punishment.
