Well new developments have arrived and not for the best for me. She just told me that she is "love" with someone else. He is the same kind of guy that her ex is, abusive and mean. She said she has never had any romantic feelings for me and never will. That this guy is her type of person. Why would she go to someone like this (abusive, mean) when that is what she left to start with? Thank you everyone for all your advice, but I am now finished. How can someone deliberately hurt the ones that care the most?

If you get back online at one point, please read this. She is doing that because it's the only way she knows. Abuse and heartaches are the only terrain she has explored. She does not seek this type of man on purpose, yet she attracts it because she has a certain psychological profile.
She did not do this to hurt you. I know it's hard to believe right now and I understand you are hurt. I am not trying to excuse her actions. The reason I am explaining her actions is to help you understand that it was not about you and it was not your fault. Until she learns how to break the abusive circle she will carry on with these types of men and there is nothing that you can do about it.
