This forum is unfamiliar to me and I haven't spent time examining its purpose. That's my disclaimer. But I am intrigued by what this particular member of the forum posted regarding the role of Lactic Acid in the bodies of those with PTSD.
I would like to find cross-references to see if this is a valid and research-based theory. The reason I am even interested is the Magnesium really works for me. Also, while I love caffeine in the morning at least, I am getting very shaky from it when I then have work. In reading this post, I see that caffeine is listed as maintaining lactic acid buildup in the brain and suppressing normal neurotransmitter actions that lead to normal feelings and thinking.
Thus, I have decided in addition to taking Magnesium, I will now add a gradual reduction in caffeine also and see how I do with that.
If anyone has tried some of the recommendations listed on the address above, please reply with your before and after experiences. If you take Rx meds or street drugs, I'm not interested as much since that will complicate any other findings. But any before and after is valid and welcome.
