Analyzing Dreams and Uncovering the Subconscious Mind : Analyzing Dreams and Uncovering the Subconsc

Hi Andre, the fighting would indicate internal conflict which is mostly anger. You feel some one or something has taken away some or all of the control you have over your life (politics and government) I believe your trying to fight for your 'inner freedom' from the constant chatter inside your head. The chatter is throwing your body into a cluster of emotions. You need to calm the chatter in your mind and meditate.

The people that are figures represent aspects of yourself and your shadow (dark side) When they become less dark and more gray it means your very confused. When they are very dark you know what your feeling inside of yourself.

Work on calming the noise or compulsive thinking, because I think it will help you while your awake.

Not sure what to make of the wolf, but I usually see them as instinctual urges.

Hi tude,

I liked door number 1 & 2, but 3 resonated with me as far as my son goes. Number 2 really hit the nail on the head except I do realize how bad my anger is.

Number 3 really hit the nail on the head when she said that my dark force (the one who protects us from remembering our abuse) steps aside and lets me see some of my repressed memories.

They all make sense in different ways. Most dreams have more than one meaning tied into it, and thats one of the reasons dream reading can get so tricky.

Another member posted an interpretation but it didn't make sense. She went back and looked at all my dreams that I posted over the past 4 years and told me I had a similar dream the same time last year. It's weird how my dream symbols repeat themselves during May and December.

Hey Tammy,

I was wondering if you could help me out with something -

I don't want to post the entire dream I had, but in it, there was flooding water which I had to drive through. I did get to the other side. It happened twice in the same dream.

Are you able to tell me what that might signify?

hey tammy, how are you? are you still interpreting dreams? been a long time, but i need to ask you about one, privately, if that's ok, let me know, and i'll just send it in a message. thanks, cathy

Hi cookie, I'm glad to see you! Yes, I'm still interpreting dreams so you can send it to me when ever you feel up to it.

Take care

Hi Rachel, the common meaning for water is "emotion", but that could be a good emotion or bad? One way to figure that out is the color of the water. If it is clear or clean that is a good sign, if it is dirty then that is a negative emotion. Floods seem to represent overwhelming emotional stress.

Another meaning for water is about nurturing or being a mother and the "collective unconscious" (which is a "Jung" term and too long for me to try and describe here)

Cars generally represent our body or our journey in life. Driving would indicate that your passing through an overwhelming amount of stress. Since your getting to the other side it seems your dealing with it appropriately. Having it repeat in the dream could mean that there is more than one issue that's overwhelming you, or it's just so overwhelming that it is repetitive? It's hard to say without seeing the whole dream because I usually look at the whole, to get the common meanings to make sure they all agree. Most symbols have more than one meaning.

Hope this was helpful
You can send the dream to me PM if you want a more in depth analysis.

Take care

Speaking of cars. I recently dreamed that I kept stealing other peoples cars. I did this knowing I had my own car that I had abandoned. I felt slightly bad about leaving my car & stealing others but somehow couldn't stop the compulsion.

I stole it from the same office car park. I've never seen this office in real life. But I'd run through the office really loudly before going to the car park to steal.

In one office I knew there was a male psychologist/psychiatrist (not mine) and I was hoping him or someone in the office would hear my loudness or catch me stealing cars and help me, although I didn't really know what help I needed.

I kept wondering when someone would notice. Then stealing another car I lost my way back, I couldn't remember where the office was. I was also worried about leaving my car. I kinda wondered at my own stupidity of abandoning my car, stealing cars for no real reason and then getting lost.

My behaviour seemed strange yet even in the dream I couldn't explain why I did what I did.

Hi Awakening,
Wow, "Stump the Chump" LOL. I am going to have to research what some other possible meanings are for cars. Because the two I know of wouldn't fit the dream theme. I can see what the ending of the dream means already but it doesn't fit with the beginning. I will get back to you when I figure it out. I have a real hard dream to work on in one of my groups and I'm baffled with that one as well. It's not a nightmare or anything, just different from most dreams that I've read. The other members are having a hard time with it too.

Talk to you soon
Tammy

I'm still working on it. My daughter's b-day is today and I'm giving a birthday party for her tomorrow and don't have a lot of time until Monday.

I used to have dreams where my dad or step mom stole my car. It used to piss me off so bad when I woke up, and lingered for days. Once in awhile it was an unknown person but usually it was either my dad or step mom who would steel my car and then wreck it. I would run around to all different places trying to find it or get them to pay me for it so I could buy another one. LOL

Tammy

I haven't had one of those dreams in a long time - Thank God!

No worries Tammy.
At my therapy session today I spoke about feeling lost, that I didn't have a strong sense of self, that sometimes I felt disconnected from me, that I didn't really know who I was or what was my identity. That I find myself agreeing with whatever viewpoint is put in front of me. That I struggle to work out what I like or dislike, what I need, what I want, what I believe in.

If cars normally symbolise self, then maybe I'm trying to steal others identities? Maybe it's to do with abandoning my self (car). I'm not sure either!

That is what I was going to say I thought the dream might represent after thinking about it for 3 days LOL. It was the only explanation I could come up with, but wasn't sure. I think you are the best interpreter of your own dreams. If you have a sense of what some of the symbols mean and it resonates with you then most likely that is what it means.

Also, I'm the same way. I asked myself yesterday "Who Are You?" I didn't know the answer to that. I have some views and beliefs that are my own, based on experiences. But there are so many things in life that can go either way, or is not just "black or white", so it makes it hard for me to hold an absolute opinion on anything.

The last part where you state you lost your way back could indicate that maybe the last viewpoint you took as your own made you feel real confused, and brought you to this realization.

Take care
Tammy

HI,

This site is sooo cool, what an awsome group :) I have some dreams that have been bothering me for a while, I have to post them when I get home and look at my dream journal.
