I dont know if im the best one to answer this as anger & rage is the main emotion I can feel, most times the only emotion, and most of the ways I express it isnt good; but, what I did to shed it which gave me access to the other emotions, was to talk about it, on here. I spoke about things that i was so angry at myself for, "letters" to those that hurt me, poems etc. Eventually i was able to shed enough that it got me access to the other enotions under it.
I dont know if this helps but today i talk on here about it which helps the most or if i cant then i distract by things like tv, phone games, house work etc.
