Anger Management Treatment

I walked out on day 1 of my anger management course and told the facilitator he was full of shit, because he told me I could learn to curb my anger. That dude is now my full time therapist.

It's hard at the start, but in the end you can learn to curb your bodies and your minds response to certain situations. You also learn to recognise your 'Cup' level. There are of course circumstances where it all gets thrown out the window.

An example of recognition would be if your feeling a little amped, it would not be a good idea to go down to a busy shopping mall, or call the VA.

An example of it getting thrown out the window would be if you are in a good mood and someone bumps into you, you apologise, but that person keep pushing and keeps abusing you. You try to walk away, but he keeps going. Your tacho hit's redline and it's all over.

Whew, I am listening, guys. My therapist at one time told me I did not understand anger. A little balloon went up above my head like the cartoons, and in that balloon was a string of invective about that f...king idiot. I still feel it. I don't think the idiot ever felt anger at all.

I am better about it though. I think learning meditation helped me a lot. Some things (like purses) are just not worth the energy when you think about it. If you give yourself the chance to think about it.
