To fix my statement, I cheated on my wife, I hate admitting it because it wasn't physical, but if it could have been it probably would have been. We are all human, but PTSD doesn't excuse our actions as I still try to pretend it does. Marriage is hard work and if it is ever easy then you should probably start to wonder what is wrong. Not saying you can't be happy in a marriage, just saying it isn't always "happily ever after" without working on it.

I recently called the Vet line to have them help a guy in another forum who said he was a vet and was in severe crisis. He ideated quite clearly suicidal tendencies. The VA was actually quite helpful. I was asked to send a cut and paste of what he said. They identified him from the descriptions he gave of himself and his own FB page, found his VA records, and called me back. They said they would not tell me the result but in all likelihood they would make a "welfare check" to be sure he's OK. I did call the local helpline where he was in CA and they said the VA had already called them. I was quite impressed with how far the VA went to help. They were quite understanding. They even asked if I was OK. I told them of course not....
